What are the benefits of a running a Peaches Girls Co-op Charter?
- Peaches Girls Co-op is an all-inclusive program where girls of all backgrounds, religions, and abilities are encouraged to participate.
- Peaches Girls Co-op offers activities that the girls may not otherwise have an opportunity to do, such as overnight nature trips, etiquette workshops, and survival skills training to name just a few.
- All girls receive a job position for their Charter: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and their Committees – Hospitality, Fundraiser, Field Trip, & Library. The girls are trained to run their own monthly Board Meeting with official Meeting Minutes.
- Peaches Girls Co-op can be a great enrichment to the school or family curriculum; as well as creating positive publicity for current and prospective families.
- Peaches Girls Co-op instills an environment of unity, that’s welcoming and nurturing for all members.
What do I need to start a Peaches Girls Co-op Charter?
Charter Leader Checklist
- Volunteer Charter Leader Application – There must be at least two trained Leaders for each Charter group of up to 15 girls.
- Recruit a (2nd) Co-Leader (same application as above)
- Identify and confirm a safe, nurturing meeting place to accommodate the group,
- Submit Letter of Acknowledgement/Approval from Building Administrator (if applicable)
- Obtain background check.
- Online Registration of Charter – including Charter and member fees.
- Recruitment Training – set up by Headquarters.
- You Did It! Look for your PEACHES WELCOME PACKAGE in the mail.
The following apply for all Peaches Girls Co-op Charters:
- The group can consist of 5 – 15 or more girls.
- The group can meet once per month or twice per month (every other week) to be determined by the Charters Co-Leaders.
- The group can meet during the day, as an after school club, during the evening hours or on weekends. Groups are welcome to meet on their own during the summer months, based on the discretion of the Co-Leaders.
- All groups must follow the Peaches Girls Co-op Mission and Vision.
- All groups must apply the Peaches volunteer Platform into the monthly Community Service projects.
- All members should attend the Annual Peaches Regional/National Celebrations!
A Sample Schedule for a Peaches Girls Co-op Meeting:
1st 15 minutes – allow time to socialize & play
45 minutes – girl run Board Meeting
45 minutes – Co-Leader choice activity
15 minutes – Recap and greet parents
The Peaches Girls Co-op program runs from September to June.
